VisitBritain’s premier travel trade event ExploreGB virtual recently took place in March 2022 and provided an opportunity for Sales Director Nick Head to take the pulse of the international picture for inbound tourism.
The same messages kept coming up. Severe staff shortages, coupled with fulfilling the backlog of existing reservations, and the awful situation in Ukraine, means most agents are unlikely to introduce new products until late 2022 at the earliest.
The positive news is that the new products and experiences we continue to bring to market are welcome, loved and sure to feature in the sales cycle for 2023 holidays.
