General Terms and Conditions
Definitions
‘Channel Managers’ means intermediaries that assist suppliers to provide their product information to planning and booking intermediaries including the travel trade.
‘Destinations’ means organisations that manage and market tourism locations and include destination management organisations, destination marketing organisations and local authority-based tourism teams.
‘Suppliers’ means individuals and businesses that provide services to visitors when they are visiting a location and include accommodation, visitor attractions, tour guides, restaurants, activities and experiences. This list is not exhaustive may be amended from time to time.
‘Trade Itinerary Planning System (TIPS)’ means the Avenue 6 API, Extranet and Central Reservation Platform.
‘Trade partners’ means individuals and businesses that sell tourism products to consumers and include tour operators and travel agents/advisors; they are collectively referred to as the travel trade.
Complaints
Complaints about Avenue 6 and the services it provides should be sent to hello@avenue6.travel and headed For the attention of the Managing Director. We will send an initial acknowledgement within 48 hours of receipt. We will investigate the complaint fully and try to resolve it directly with you. We will send you a written response about the complaint or written confirmation of the solution reached.
Cancellations
If a booking made by a trade partner with a supplier using the Avenue 6 platform is cancelled by the trade partner more than 14 days in advance of a customer’s arrival date, the supplier is obliged to refund to Avenue 6 any deposits or prepayments.
If a booking made by a trade partner with a supplier using the Avenue 6 platform is cancelled by the trade partner less than 14 days prior to a customer’s arrival date, deposits and prepayments made to suppliers are not refundable and trade partners may be liable for a portion of all of the booking according to the supplier’s own cancellation policy.
Liability
Avenue 6’s liability to suppliers and trade partners excludes the following: loss of profits, loss of sales or business, loss of agreements or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of use or corruption of software, data or information, loss of or damage to goodwill and indirect or consequential loss.
Avenue 6 is not responsible for the accommodation, tours, attractions or activities that are booked by a Trade Partner or a Contractor and accepts no responsibility or liability for the quality or end user customer experience of the same or for any failure or substandard or non-performance by an Avenue 6 Supplier.
If Avenue 6 is prevented or delayed from performance of its obligations under a contract or agreement by an act or omission by a trade partner, its agents, subcontractors, consultants or employees, Avenue 6 is not liable for costs, charges or losses sustained or incurred by the Trade partner arising directly or indirectly from their own actions and is entitled to recover any additional costs, charges or losses sustained by Avenue 6 that arise directly or indirectly from prevention and delay.
If Avenue 6 is prevented or delayed from performance of its obligations under a contract or agreement by an act or omission by a supplier, its agents, subcontractors, consultants or employees, Avenue 6 is not liable for costs, charges or losses sustained or incurred by the supplier arising directly or indirectly from their own actions and is entitled to recover any additional costs, charges or losses sustained by Avenue 6 that arise directly or indirectly from prevention and delay.
Avenue 6 is not liable for a supplier’s channel management fees. Where Avenue 6 has facilitated channel management services with Bokun, the supplier is responsible for paying fees to Bokun direct, which is currently 2.9% and maybe subject to change. Where Avenue 6 has facilitated channel management services with Hotel Spider, the supplier is responsible for paying relevant monthly fees to Hotel Spider.
Payments and invoices
Our standard payment terms are 30 days from receipt of an invoice and payments are made online to the bank account nominated by the supplier.
Payments to Avenue 6 can be made by BACs, standing order of direct debit. Details of the receiving bank account is included on all invoices and statements issued by Avenue 6.
For suppliers: we produce monthly statements of bookings detailing customers that are due to arrive in the forthcoming 14-day period, the commissions and fees that are due, VAT and net amounts to be invoiced. On receipt of the statement suppliers invoice Avenue 6 for the total amount detailed on the statement. Avenue 6 will deduct the commissions and fees that are due and pay suppliers the balance within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
For trade partners: Avenue 6 submits invoices to trade partners for all bookings placed for customers due to arrive during the forthcoming 28 days plus VAT (if applicable). Payment is due by the travel partner between 28 and 14 days before the customers arrival date.
Channel management system rental fees will be invoiced quarterly and are subject to our standard payment terms.
Late payment may incur daily interest at 4% per annum above bank base rates.
Pricing
We price contracts for services individually, tailoring them to the requirements and circumstances of clients. Pricing is provided and agreed in advance and captured in contracts and service level agreements.
Avenue 6 earns a 6% commission on all bookings made by the travel trade through the Avenue 6 platform. This commission is deducted from payments made to us by trade partners before we pass fees on to suppliers. Any changes to commission charges will be notified by email to suppliers and trade partners directly in advance .
Commission is charged inclusive of VAT.
Commission payments between suppliers and channel managers are additional to the commission charged by Avenue 6 and agreed directly between the two parties.
Where Avenue 6 arranges channel management services on behalf of accommodation suppliers a minimum system rental fee of £30 per month is payable by the supplier and will be invoiced quarterly by Avenue 6. Fees for higher levels of service support are available.

Services and standards
Avenue 6 operates business to business, providing services to a wide range of suppliers in the tourism, culture and hospitality sectors and to travel agents, tour operators and organisations involved in destination management and marketing. We facilitate planning, booking and distribution. Suppliers are entered into our planning and booking platform so they are visible and searchable by the travel trade. Trade partners gain access to the Avenue 6 API, Extranet and Central Reservation Platform in order to plan and book the services of Avenue 6 suppliers.
Avenue 6 does not package or sell travel and tourism products direct to consumers.
Where Avenue 6 has arranged channel management services on behalf of an accommodation suppliers, suppliers have a choice of three levels of support.
1. email support with a response time of 24-hours from receipt of a request
2. telephone support in office hours
3. telephone support at weekends 9am-6pm plus late night mid week support to 10pm.
Level 1 support is included in the minimum system rental fee. Level 2 and Level 3 support are subject to a supplement which is negotiated as part of the SLA.
Trade Itinerary Planning System (TIPS)
Use of any information or materials on the Avenue 6 Trade Itinerary Planning System (TIPS) is entirely at your own risk. It is the users responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through TIPS meets their specific requirements.
From time to time the TIPS may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that Avenue 6 endorses the website(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).
The TIPS contains material which is owned by or licensed to Avenue 6. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.
All trademarks reproduced on the TIPS, which are not the property of, or licensed to the Avenue 6 are acknowledged.
Unauthorised use of the TIPS may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
Use of the TIPS and any dispute arising out of such use is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
Though we make every endeavor to provide correct information on the TIPS, neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials. Users acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
